Dixieland Jazz Septet to Perform at Moravian College
Due to inclement weather this event has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 17th.
Bethlehem, Pa., January 28, 2011--The sounds of Dixieland Jazz will fill Foy Hall when Alan Gaumer, trumpet, and Neil Wetzel, clarinet, and their septet perform on Thursday, February 3 at 7:30 p.m. at Moravian College.
The duo, joined by Rick Chamberlain, trombone, Mike Kuehn, banjo, Jeff Daniels, tuba, and two additional sidemen on piano and drums to present, Banjo and Tuba - A Dixieland Septet, is co-sponsored by the PA Jazz Society, recognizing the importance of Jazz in our musical heritage. Alan Gaumer is an artist-lecturer at Moravian College. Wetzel is assistant professor of music and director of Jazz Studies at Moravian.
Admission for the concert is $15 general admission and $10 for seniors and students. Advance tickets can be purchase online at: http://www.lvartsboxoffice.org/.
