Bethlehem, Pa., February 15, 2011--Comedian and YouTube celebrity Bo Burnham will perform at Moravian College on Friday, March 18 at 8:00 p.m., in Johnston Hall. The doors will open an hour before the start of the show. This is a part of Burnham's current tour, Bo Burnham and (No) Friends. General admission tickets are $15 for the public and may be purchased at the Moravian College Bookstore or online at www.moravian.musictoday.com.
Burnham performed for Comedy Central's The World Stands Up in January 2008 and signed a four-year record deal with Comedy Central Records. His first EP, Bo Fo Sho, was released in June of 2008. His first full album, Bo Burnham, was released in March of 2009. His first tour, Fake I.D., followed this release. In October of 2010, Burnham's second full album, Words, Words, Words, was released. His latest tour, Bo Burnham and (No) Friends, followed this release.
Bo Burnham was born in Hamilton, Massachusetts. Burnham attended the all-boys' Catholic high school, St. John's Preparatory School in Danvers, Massachusetts, where he was on the school honor roll and was involved in theatre and the campus ministry program. He was accepted to NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Although expected to begin attending in autumn 2008, he deferred his enrollment for a year to focus on his burgeoning media career. In 2006, he began writing songs about teenage angst. He then videotaped himself performing the songs and posted them to YouTube and he became an overnight sensation.
