Moravian College to Hold Fall Open House on October 29
Prospective Students Urged to Pursue their Passions for Learning
Bethlehem, Pa., October 6, 2011—Moravian College will hold a fall open house for prospective students on Saturday, October 29 with a host of activities for high school sophomores, juniors, seniors and their parents. Visitors are invited to explore Moravian on a campus tour, attend information sessions, visit the bookstore, and discover how a Moravian education will help them pursue their passions through quality academic and co-curricular programs.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. in Johnston Hall where students can mingle with faculty, staff, coaches, and other students, followed by welcoming remarks by Christopher M. Thomforde, president of Moravian College, and Nicole Berutich, assistant director of admissions.
Twenty-Six Points Student Ambassadors will conduct tours from 10 a.m. until noon, to showcase both campuses and navigate students through classrooms, dining halls, computer labs, and more.
A light lunch at the newly renovated Pavilion, Haupert Union Building, from 12 – 1 p.m., will allow visitors a chance to chat with current Moravian students and the admissions staff.
After lunch, prospective students will explore the endless array of possibilities Moravian offers in its 50+ majors when they join professors and students to explore how Moravian enhances academic excellence through its flexibility and unique academic programs.
After learning about the many aspects of a Moravian education, students and parents will attend a presentation in Prosser Auditorium by Colby McCarthy, director of Financial Aid and John Morganelli, associate director of admissions. Visitors will get the inside scoop on all there is to know about applying to, being accepted by, and paying for a Moravian education.
