Bethlehem, Pa., October 6, 2011—The Lehigh Valley Suzuki Workshop, back for its fourth year at Moravian College, will be held in Peter Hall on Friday, October 21 and Saturday, October 22. Directed by Nancy Terlaak Poot, artist-lecturer in viola and Suzuki violin at Moravian, the workshop is aimed to develop the skills of young Suzuki string players, and is open to Suzuki violin, viola, cello, and bass students.
On Friday, October 21, the workshop includes a teacher enrichment session led by Linda Fiore. Two sessions on Saturday will offer group techniques, fiddling classes, parent classes, and orchestral skills. The sessions will conclude with concerts. National award-winning storyteller, folk musician, singer and classical violinist, Susan Reed will perform Stories and Songs for All on Saturday, October 22 at noon. The other talented workshop faculty includes Domenick Fiore, Chris Brennan Hagy, and Christopher Souza.
Admission for the concert is $10 for general admission and $5 for children with a $20 cap per family. Workshop participants’ tuition covers their admission to this performance. Peter Hall is located on Moravian College's Hurd Campus in historic downtown Bethlehem, Pa.
