Bethlehem, Pa., October 24, 2006—The Moravian College Career Center recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony to showcase the newly renovated Career Center Library, funded by a grant received from Keystone Nazareth Bank & Trust (KNBT), earmarked for career programs at the college.
Refurbishing provided for by the grant were fresh paint, new carpeting, new furniture a new laptop for student use, updating of library holdings, as well the purchase of an online subscription to Internships – USA (a national database of internships). Nicole Snyder, director of career development, noted that “the renovations have allowed us to re-do the library so that students will experience an open and inviting comfortable space to conduct research or to review materials. Even in today’s electronic age, the library provides much needed resources for students to explore post-graduate options or to receive assistance in writing resumes, researching graduate schools, or preparing for an interview”. The remaining grant monies will be used to develop Career Preparation Programs that will occur during the course of the academic year.
