Bethlehem, Pa., Monday, August 6, 2012— First Lady Michelle Obama will make a campaign stop at Moravian College on Thursday, August 9 to address grassroots supporters in the Lehigh Valley. The First Lady will speak about what’s at stake in this election for Pennsylvanians and encourage them to help organize their communities between now and November. And, as part of the campaign's new It Takes One effort, the First Lady will ask every supporter to help grow Obama for America's national grassroots network.
The program will begin at 6:00 p.m. in Johnston Hall at Moravian College, 221 West Elizabeth Avenue in Bethlehem, Pa. The First Lady’s events are free and open to the public. Doors will open at 4 p.m. Tickets are required due to limited space, and will be available to the public starting on a first come, first serve basis at the following pick-up locations starting Tuesday, August 7 at 11:00 a.m.: Organizing for America – Allentown, 1031 W Linden St, Suite 101. Allentown, PA 18102; Organizing for America – Bethlehem, 13 E. 3rd Street. Bethlehem, PA 18015; and Organizing for America – Easton, 91 Larry Holmes Drive, Easton, PA 18042.
Note to the media: The campaign event at Moravian College will be open to pre-credentialed, TV and print correspondents and still photographers. Space is limited and members of the media interested in covering an event must send an email requesting credentials to email@example.com with the location of the event in the subject line before Wednesday, August 8 at 10:00 a.m. Those receiving credentials will receive a confirmation with additional logistical information via email. Final press access to the event will be at 5:45 p.m.
