What is the Consistent Giving Society?
The Office of Institutional Advancement established the Consistent Giving Society to recognize and thank loyal donors to the College.
Who is eligible for membership in the Consistent Giving Society?
All Moravian College alumni/alumnae, and their widows/widowers, parents, corporations and friends of the college are eligible for membership.
How does one become a member of the Society?
Making a gift for five consecutive years in the last five fiscal years (July 1 – June 30) will establish membership. (Three consecutive annual gifts qualify alumni who have graduated within the past 10 years.) These gifts can be outright gifts or pledge payments.
Does the dollar amount of a gift matter?
No. All gifts make a difference. Moravian relies on consistent annual giving to meet the needs of the College. It is this consistent support by donors through the years that has enabled Moravian to sustain and expand the opportunities for deserving students to receive a Moravian education.
How do College alumni who are partners or married qualify?
As long as at least one spouse/partner has made a gift or pledge payment in a particular year, that year counts in the membership calculation for both alumni
How do alumni/alumnae, and their widows/widowers, parents, corporations and friends maintain membership in the Consistent Giving Society?
By continuing to make gifts or pledge payments on an annual basis.
What if I/we inadvertently miss a year of giving?
Through annual appeals, we will make every effort to notify alumni who are in danger of lapsing. However, should a question or situation arise, please contact our office.
What are the benefits of membership?
New members will receive a welcome letter from the Director of Annual Giving. Members of the Consistent Giving Society will receive special recognition in the Gift Report published in the fall Moravian College Magazine as well as on the Consistent Giving Society page on the College’s website. Consistent Giving Society members will also receive an invitation to attend a special dinner reception followed by a Christmas Vesper Service for you and a guest. Most importantly, you will be part of a group of people who truly value the College.
