St. Luke’s School of Nursing at Moravian College to hold Public Lectures, Celebrate Graduates

Bethlehem, Pa., April 6, 2005—St. Luke’s School of Nursing at Moravian College will present a talk, “An Afternoon of Transcultural Nursing: A Report on Mission Nursing in Honduras, December ‘04” on Wednesday, April 13 at 4:00 pm. The presentation will be held in room 101 of the Priscilla Payne Hurd Academic Complex, Monocacy Street, Bethlehem. Junior nursing majors Deanna DiSarro, Kathryn Foster, and Dawn Liberto will join assistant professor Dr. Maryanne Dye in presenting an overview of their experience of providing care in Honduras.

The 10th Annual Priscilla Payne Hurd Nursing Lectureship will be held on Tuesday, April 19. Dr. Sean P. Clarke of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing will speak about “Nurses’ Work Environments – A Key to Patient Safety.” The lecture will be held at 1:00 pm at the Laros Auditorium of the Doctor’s Pavilion, St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem. The lecture is sponsored by the Moravian College Arts & Lectures Series.

“A Celebration of Nursing” will be held on Friday, May 13 at 2:00 p.m. in Prosser Auditorium at Moravian’s Haupert Union Building, Monocacy Street, Bethlehem. The ceremony will honor the graduating seniors from the nursing department at Moravian College.
