Three Rock Bands to Perform at Moravian’s Hound Sound Concert

Circa SurviveBethlehem, Pa., October 17, 2012 –Moravian College will hold a “Hound Sound” rock concert featuring the bands, Circa Survive, Carolina Liar, and twenty | one | pilots on Saturday, November 17, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Moravian College’s Johnston Hall. Moravian College’s United Student Government (USG) is sponsoring the Hound Sound Concert.

The night will be headlined by Circa Survive, a Doylestown, Pa. indie rock band Circa Survive. The band released their most recent album, Violent Waves, in August. The album reached #15 on the Billboard 200 chart and #3 on the indie chart. The band is known for its showmanship in live performance. In addition to headlining its own tours, the band has opened for acts like My Chemical Romance, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Linkin Park. It also has performed at major music festivals including The Bamboozle, The Vans Warped Tour, SXSW, and Coachella.

Carolina LiarLos Angeles-based pop-rock band Carolina Liar is also slated to perform at the Hound Sound. They released their new album, Wild Blessed Freedom, in September. The have been featured on MTV, VH1, and in Rolling Stone, which compared the band to U2 and the Killers. The band has had many high-profile performances including appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Columbus, Ohio electro-rock band twenty | one | pilots fills out the bill for the Hound Sound. The band recently signed a deal with Fueled by Ramen and released the EP Three Songs in September. The band, which is known for its electrifying energy in performance, has been touring extensively the past few months throughout the United States and in Korea.

Twenty One PilotsStudents can purchase tickets for the Hound Sound at the bookstore for $10. Tickets are also available to the public for $16 at http://www.moravian.musictoday.com/.
