The Value of a Moravian Education
Real Hands-On Learning

Significant opportunities for hands-on learning are offered at Moravian, including collaborative student-faculty research, the depth of which is not often found at the undergraduate level.

Internships, service learning projects, musical recitals and art exhibitions, and presentations at academic conferences all allow our students to stretch to meet their full potential while learning and growing along the way.

More than 25% of the entire student body annually performs internships for credit. And over the course of four years, more than 400 students study abroad; 90 complete Honors projects; and more than 120 students complete SOAR projects (Student Opportunities for Academic Research). These projects allow for close collaboration between student and professor in researching a subject of their choice. SOAR projects have led to national recognition, conference presentations, and publication of research results.
