Class of 1963 50th Reunion Champagne Toast with President Thomforde

  • 5:30 p.m.
  • Hotel Bethlehem, Lehigh Room
  • Exclusive champagne toast for members of the Class of 1963 and their guests with President Christopher Thomforde and Dr. Kathy Thomforde in celebration of the 50th reunion. A reunion class photo will be taken at this time.

Welcome Back Gala

  • Hotel Bethlehem, The Mural Room
  • Cost: $50 per adult; pre-registration required by May 9
  • Kick off the weekend in style at this beautiful hotel. This special evening will commence with a cocktail hour starting at 6:00 p.m. in the Lobby outside of the Mural Room, followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. Reunion classes will be seated together. Soft jazz music will be provided by the Dave Roth Trio, featuring Dave Roth '85, piano; Paul Rostock, bass and Glenn Davis, drums.
  • Entree choices: Sliced roast sirloin with red wine demi glace; Chicken Francaise; Eggplant Napolean (Vegetarian)

Reunion Photos

  • 8:00 p.m.
  • Most reunion class group photos will be taken tonight . After the dinner has finished classes will be directed to a designated area in the hotel where the formal picture will be taken. You will receive your scheduled time at registration. A photographer will be taking candid photos at various on campus events throughout the weekend.

 50+ Club Breakfast and Induction Ceremony

  • All those who graduated 50 or more years ago are invited to this annual breakfast when the newest members, the Class of 1963, will be inducted by President Thomforde, receiving a commemorative pin and a photo will be taken.

Alumni Association Annual Meeting

  • 10:00 a.m.
  • HUB UBC Room
  • You are a member of the Alumni Association! Come and learn about the Alumni Board. Their work and commitment keep us connected for life, and stregnthen the Moravian community that we all love!

Tour of the HILL (Hurd Integrated Living and Learning Residence Hall)

  • 11:00 a.m.  - Take the Shuttle! Shuttle departs at 10:45 from the Monocacy Street entrance to the HUB.

Lifelong Learning: Global Greyhounds

  • 11:00 a.m.
  • Priscilla Payne Hurd Academic Complex, Room 102, Main Street Campus
  • Members of the Moravian community share their far-flung travel experiences through stories and slides. Those scheduled to present are Kyle Stackhouse ’13 who took a mission trip to Jamaica, Fernando Cifuentes ’14, a Moravian international student from Guatemala, and Manuel Gonzalez ’84, director of international programs at Northampton Community College. 
  • This program is presented by the Alumni Association's Lifelong Learning Initiative and sponsored by Liberty Mutual Insurance.

Luncheon & State of The College Address

  • 12:15 p.m.
  • HUB Dining Room
  • Cost $22 per adult
  • The lunch features your choice of entrees: Chicken stuffed with sundried tomatoes and spinach, Flounder stuffed with julienned vegetables or Mushroom Ravioli. Reunion classes will be seated together. In addition to iced tea and soft drinks, beer and wine will be served. At 1:15, President Thomforde will present The State of the College address.

Gourmet Dessert and Big Band (the JazzHounds) Reception

  • 2:00 p.m.
  • HUB, Pavilion
  • After the luncheon and presentation by President Thomforde, walk over to the Pavilion and enjoy a selection of delectable gourmet desserts and beverages while enjoying the sounds of the Jazz Hounds, led by associate professor of music, Dr. Neil Wetzel.

 Omicron Gamma Omega (ΟΓΩ) Photo and Annual Meeting

  • 3:00 p.m.
  • PPHAC, Room 101
  • The photo will be taken on the steps of the Collier Hall of Science; the annual meeting to follow in the Priscilla Payne Hurd Academic Building, Room 101.

Special Reunion Gatherings

Class of 1963

  • Join us for all the events and programs this weekend. Our class will be seated together at the Gala at the Hotel Bethlehem, at the 50+ Club Breakfast on Saturday, and at the Luncheon.
  • Special question: Are you staying in town Saturday night? The committee would you like to have a casual and informal dinner with other classmates. A room at The Foundry Restaurant (in the Best Western, Rte. 22 & 512) at 6:30 p.m. If so, return the reply form that was sent with your class letter or contact Pat Hanna in the Alumni Office at 610-625-7874 or phanna@moravian.edu.

Dormitory Accommodations
Accommodations are available in Jo Smith Residence Hall. Cost is $35 per person, per night, single/double occupancy. All rooms are air conditioned and include linens. Rooms do fill up quickly, so make your reservations early! Guests may pick up their room key at the Campus Safety Office beginning 3:30 p.m. on Friday and all day on Saturday. The Campus Safety Office is located at 119 West Greenwich Street.
