Comedian and Impersonator Jay Pharaoh to Perform at Moravian College

Cast member of Saturday Night Live brings stand-up routine to Bethlehem on April 19

Jay PharoahBethlehem, Pa., March 13, 2013— Stand-up comedian and impressionist Jay Pharaoh will perform at Moravian College on Friday, April 19, at 8 p.m., in Johnston Hall. Pharoah is best known for his impersonations of Will Smith, Barack Obama, Eddie Murphy, Denzel Washington and other celebrities on Saturday Night Live, which he has been consistently delivering since 2010, when he was added to the lineup as the youngest member of the cast.

Tickets can be purchased at the Moravian College Bookstore or online at www.moravian.musictoday.com. Tickets are $5 for Moravian students, and $15.75 for the general public. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. Moravian College’s IMPACT presents the comedy show.

When Pharaoh was younger, he performed at local comedy clubs. He then moved from Virginia to New York City to perform on Saturday Night Live for two seasons. Pharaoh also participated in the sketch comedy series, “Charlie Murphy’s Crash Comedy.” He also performed a stand-up skit on BET’s, “One Mic Stand,” and starred in the 2010 BET Awards short, “The Package.” He is currently working on an upcoming feature, “Lola Versus.” For video samples of his work visit Jay Pharaoh’s website.
