Moravian College to Hold Fall Open House – October 26

Bethlehem, Pa., September 26, 2013—Moravian College will welcome high school juniors and seniors and their families at its Fall Open House on Saturday, October 26 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. During the day, prospective students are invited to explore the campus, meet faculty, staff and current Moravian students, learn about the new MacBook Pro and iPad initiative, and discover the value of a Moravian education.

The day will begin with registration on Moravian’s Main Campus in Johnston Hall. Prospective students and their families are invited to enjoy coffee, tea, and light refreshments while mingling with faculty, staff, and current students. Moravian College President, Bryon Grigsby and, Carole Reese, interim vice president for enrollment management, will deliver opening remarks and welcome everyone to the open house.

Students and parents will disperse to various locations to explore many opportunities that Moravian College offers. Professors and students from various educational departments will be available to introduce prospective students to Moravian’s 50 programs of study and explain Moravian’s unique hands-on learning programs, such as Add-Venture and SOAR.

In Prosser Auditorium, Colby McCarthy, director of financial aid, and Carole Reese, interim vice president for enrollment, will give a presentation on applying to, being accepted by, and paying for a Moravian education. In the HUB Pavilion, prospective students and families will learn about the advantages of Moravian’s Center for Leadership and Service and Career Center from a panel of current students and recent graduates.

At noon, visitors will be able to enjoy a light lunch while continuing conversations with faculty, coaches, and current students about getting involved at Moravian. Following lunch, Moravian’s Twenty-Six Points Student Ambassadors will provide tours of Moravian’s beautiful and historic campus.
