Sally Breidegam Miksiewicz ’84, a member of the Moravian College Board of Trustees since 2008 and a daughter of life trustee DeLight Breidegam, died on June 20, 2014. Miksiewicz was the chief executive officer and vice chairman of East Penn Manufacturing, Berks County's largest privately-held business.
According to a WFMZ report, Miksiewicz, 52, was fatally struck by a vehicle while jogging during the early morning. For more information, visit the WFMZ article.
“We, as a college community, are deeply saddened by Sally’s sudden and untimely passing,” said Bryon L. Grigsby ’90, president of Moravian College and Moravian Theological Seminary. “Sally was an incredible leader and presence on our campus, and she will be greatly missed.”
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 27, in the Kutztown University O'Pake Field House. Doors will open at 8:00 a.m., with the service to follow at 9 a.m. There will be no public viewing.
