Advancements in Laser Technology focus of Lecuture
(Bethlehem, Pennsylvania) –Moravian College will hold a special lecture by Dr. Barry Walker, Assistant Professor of Physics at the University of Delaware, focusing on advancements in laser technology on Thursday, February 6, 2003, at 4:00 p.m. The lecture will be held in Dana Lecture Hall, Collier Hall of Science, It is sponsored by The Society of Physics Students at Moravian College.
Walker, whose areas of expertise are ultra fast electro-optics and laser technology research, will present a talk entitled “Ultrahigh Peak Power Lasers and the Interaction of Intense Laser Fields with Matter”. He has presented papers at nearly twenty professional conferences in the last three years, covering topics in atomic, molecular, and optical physics.
