(Bethlehem, Pennsylvania) – Graduate and Continuing Studies at Moravian College is offering “Legal Issues: The Employment Relationship,” a two-credit, seven-week course taught by Rochelle K. Kaplan, Esq., labor arbitrator and employment mediator.
Daily newspapers carry stories about the impact of government regulations on employment opportunities, an issue that human resource professionals face almost every day. The course will provide a convenient, systematic review of these issues.
One of a number of sharply focused courses in the Human Resource Administration Certificate Program, students will review major federal legislation pertaining to employment discrimination, important court cases and administrative decisions and regulations, and administrative practice before the EEO and state Human Relations Commission. The course will apply these regulations to interviewing, hiring, promotion, performance review, and termination.
The course will meet on Tuesdays, March 18 through April 29, 6:30-9:30 p.m., on the Moravian campus. For registration information, call the Continuing and Graduate Studies Office at Moravian College at 610-861-1400. Refer to HRA 153.2Z.
