(Bethlehem, Pennsylvania)–Moravian College will hold opening receptions for three very special art exhibitions on Thursday, March 18. The public is welcome—light refreshments will be served.
The annual exhibit of art, “Celebrating Moravian Women,” will be on display in the Paty Eiffe Gallery in the Haupert Union Building. An opening reception will be held in the lounge from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. The works on display are those by Moravian students, faculty, staff, and alumnae from 1941 to the present.
Payne Gallery at Moravian College will unveil this year’s faculty exhibition, “The Faculty Creates, The Faculty Collects.” The opening reception will be held in Payne Gallery from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. Included in the exhibit is work created by, or from the collections of, Moravian faculty members Rudy S. Ackerman, Lee Arnold, Jason Robert Bell, Scott Bolestridge, Jan Ciganick, Jan Crooker, Kristen Morgan Downey, Anne Dutlinger, Seth Ely, Renzo Faggioli, Lyn Godley, Carol Heft, Jeff Hurwitz, Martha Kearns, Barbara Kozero, Gerard Maynard, Lauren Nicholas, Diane Radycki, Andre Szejko, Krista Steinke, and Doug Zucco. Work ranges from traditional media (painting, drawing, photography, ceramics, hand-made paper, printmaking) to the newest digital technology. The show will run through April 11.
“Lost in Time and Space,” an installation and exhibition by our current students in Digital Photography in Studio 105, the student gallery, first floor. The reception will be held from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. Studio 105 is located on the Hurd Campus, located at Church and Main Streets in Bethlehem. For more information, call 610-861-1680.
