ItSMF Lehigh-Delaware Valley Group and Vendor Fair – October 11
Bethlehem, Pa.—Moravian College will host the itSMF Lehigh–Delaware Valley Local Interest Group Conference and Vendor Fair on Monday, October 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Priscilla Payne Hurd Academic Complex. The group is a subsidiary of the Information Technology Service Management Forum (itSMF), a global consortium of 5,000 members from 400 international companies responsible for advancing IT Best Practices through the utilization of the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL™).
Admission to the conference and vendor fair is free and open to the public. Presentations will be held throughout the day on a variety of IT topics. Participants will have direct access to 10 of the top vendors that support IT Service Management through consulting and tools. The vendors will also lead discussions on best practice topics such as, What is ITIL™?, Service Level Management, Configuration Management, and Change Management.
“ITIL is a comprehensive documentation of best practices for IT Service Management,” said Susan Herschlag, manager of computer and media services at Moravian College. “It is used by hundreds of organizations around the world and provides the foundation for quality IT Service Management. These best practices are key to running an IT organization efficiently. With this conference, we hope to help educate and create an open forum for discussion regarding ITIL best practices amongst participating IT professionals from the Lehigh and Delaware Valley areas.”
As part of the conference, IT practitioners and students who want to prepare for the ITIL Foundations certification exam can take an accredited course in ITSM Foundations™ delivered by itSMF. There is a charge for the course.

About Lehigh – Delaware Valley Local Interest Group
The Lehigh Delaware Valley Local Interest Group is a subsidiary of the IT Service Management Forum USA. It is a network of organizations, vendors and interested industry professionals from eastern Pennsylvania who are active in the field of IT Service Management. Our mission is to promote IT Best practices based upon ITIL™ constructs through user group meetings and conferences. The LIG was chartered December 2003 by local members Denis Esslinger (PPL), Mary Newman (Microsoft), and Larry Killingsworth (Air Products). The LIG currently serves over 180 local participants from businesses in the Lehigh and Delaware Valleys of Pennsylvania.
