Women’s history in China topic of special lecture

(Bethlehem, Pennsylvania)—Moravian College will hold a special lecture, “Some Thoughts on Regional History and Women’s History in China,” featuring Dr. May Bo Ching, assistant professor of history at Sun Yat-Sen University in Canton, China. The lecture, exploring the history of Chinese women and how it can be interpreted from a regional historical perspective, will be held on Thursday, May 1st at 3 p.m. in Prosser Auditorium, Haupert Union Building.

Dr. Ching is from Hong Kong, and earned her undergraduate and master’s degrees from the University of Sun Yat-Sen, in Canton, China, and received a Doctor of Philosophy degree in history from Oxford University in Britain. This program is sponsored by the Arts and Lectures Committee and the Political Science Department of Moravian College. The lecture is free and open to the public.
