Safe Zone Training

Throughout the year workshops are offered that focus on cultural awareness and diversity education.  In these sessions we explore identity development, prejudice, stereotypes, the “isms”, and strategies to improve one’s understanding of the “other” as well as one’s own blind spots.  In addition, safe zone training workshops which focus on LGBTQ issues and what it means to be any ally are held every semester.

Our goal is simple: to engage individuals in meaningful dialogues that enhance their understanding and awareness.

In collaboration with the Office of Human Resources workshops are held for faculty and staff on cultural awareness, inclusion, and diversity related issues.
