You may expect to receive your financial aid notification by early
July if you have submitted all requested items by early April. This
will provide you with the information necessary to make payment arrangements
for the balance not covered by financial aid by the due date in early
August. Students with files completed after the April 15th deadline
may have their financial aid reduced based on the availability of funds.
The
following information is provided to assist you in applying for financial aid, including scholarships,
grants, loans, and work-study, for the 2009-2010 academic year.
(Submit to FAFSA
Processor by March 15th)
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid must be submitted to receive consideration for all federal and most state financial aid. It is recommended that you use FAFSA on the Web as the preferred method of submission, but paper applications may be requested by calling 1-800-4-FED-AID (1-800-433-3243).
(Mail to
Moravian by April 15th)
The Moravian College Financial Aid Application must be mailed to the
Financial Aid Office by April 15th. Make certain all sections are completed
and that both student and parent(s) sign and date the application prior
to mailing. (NOTE: The CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE is no longer required
for returning students. However, if you have submitted the PROFILE
it is not necessary to complete The Moravian College Financial Aid
Application.
(determined
by PHEAA, Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency) To be considered for a Pennsylvania
State Grant you must be a resident of Pennsylvania and file a FAFSA
by May 1, 2009. Please note that those who submit the application after
the May 1 deadline may be rejected for state grant funds.

your state’s
grant please refer to the FAFSA application, check with your high school
guidance office or contact your state’s Department of Education.
– You
must maintain minimum standards as described in the Policy
on Satisfactory Progress
for Recipients of
Financial Aid. Additionally, annual renewal of merit
scholarships is contingent upon the student maintaining a specified
quality point average (QPA), the minimum required QPA can be found
in the Financial Aid Handbook and was also provided to you when you
were awarded the scholarship. Academic standards are reviewed each
year at the end of the spring term.
