Memorial Gifts

A memorial gift to Moravian College commemorates a loved one by investing in the life of the College and, more importantly, in the lives of our students. Memorial gifts may be of any size and may be designated toward a specific College program or fund, or their use may be left to the discretion of the College. When making a gift as a memorial, simply address the envelope:

Moravian College
Office of Development
1200 Main Street
Bethlehem, PA 18018

Include a note with the following information:

  • Name of the deceased and date of death (copy of obituary, if possible, is very helpful).
  • Name of the surviving family member/s to whom notice of this gift should be sent.
  • Name, address and amount of each donation included in the envelope.
  • Telephone number of the principal donor, in a case there are any questions.

Our general policy is to place memorial gifts in the Moravian College Annual Fund unless otherwise requested. Donors can establish a new fund to commemorate a family member, classmate, faculty member or friend. A memorial fund can be established at the time of death or at any time following. Examples of Memorial funds include:

  • Memorial Scholarship Fund (Minimum Gift: $25,000)
Donors may establish permanent, endowed funds, administered by the College. Guidelines for the distribution of annual scholarships will be developed in cooperation with the donor.

All memorial gifts are acknowledged by the College. A memorial card is sent to the surviving family mentioning the name and address of the donor, but not the amount of the gift.

Thank you for considering a gift to Moravian College when remembering your loved one.
