This year, the class of 2009 is raising funds to help support the Senior Class Scholarship. This fund was created to provide support to students who need financial help completing their senior year. It was started by the Class of 1999 as their senior class gift; the class of 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2008 continued the tradition and made it their class project as well.
Thanks to their hard work and generosity, the scholarship is endowed and will be awarded for the first time this year.
By adding our financial support, our class will grow the fund allowing more monies to go to a deserving senior or seniors. Long after we graduate, the legacy and impact of our class will be felt each time this scholarship is awarded.
As alumni, we will still be able to support the scholarship and the College will update us on the fund and its recipients.
In recent years, the Senior Class has achieved the following participation rate:
- 2008 - 48%
- 2007 - 24%
- 2006 - 11%
- 2005 - 19%
By achieving 50% participation, we will become the most successful class at the College. We have been challenged by President Thomforde to reach 50%.
Make your gift in honor of your favorite someone on campus…an unforgettable professor, the coach that left a lasting impression, the lunch lady that always gave you a little bit extra…whomever you’d like. Once you make your gift, we will send a letter notifying that person of the gift that has been made on their behalf. What a great way to show your appreciation for the person you will never forget!
