A bronze greyhound stands regally overlooking John Makuvek Field. Unveiled by President Bryon Grigsby ’90 and MaryAnn Sedlock on the evening of September 24, 2016, just prior to the dedication of the new turf field, the statue was a gift to Moravian College by MaryAnn in honor of her late husband John Sedlock, a 1956 Moravian graduate.

The students in Management 255: Mindfulness and Flow in Sport Organizations, in cooperation with their professor Katie P. Desiderio and Dean Amy Saul and Pat Hanna of the Center for Career and Civic Engagement held the third annual Hounds Connect at Home event on November 2, 2016. The event gave students an opportunity to participate in and plan a discussion panel and networking luncheon that shared the remarkable journeys of four alumni guests who have enjoyed careers in Sport Management or were student athletes.

The 5th Bethlehem Conference on Moravian History and Music took place here at Moravian College from October 27 through 29. The three-day event brought scholars from across the country and across the globe—Australia, South Africa, Argentina, Sweden, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Canada. Here are some highlights from the conference.

The rain held off and the skies turned sunny over John Makuvek Field on Sunday, October 9, as 24 alumni came to to do battle with the current men’s lacrosse team. It was the first of what will be an annual event. Though the alumni fought hard, our current Greyhounds captured victory in a final score of 15 to 5.
