“Growing up happens in a heartbeat. One day you're in diapers; the next day you're gone. But the memories of childhood stay with you for the long haul.”
–The Wonder Years
It has been a great, but busy week! I will be turning 20 on March 19th, and I can’t believe that I’ve almost completed my last week as a teenager (eek!). It’s even harder to believe that I’m almost half way done with college (double eek!). It’s amazing how fast time has gone since I started Moravian. So far, one and a half years of college feels like a month of high school.
Spike Lee came to Moravian last week! He spoke for about an hour and then held an open microphone session where he answered questions. The first half of his speech was very political. I preferred the second half where he talked about his own life and how he made his dreams realities. I had a great seat and felt honored to be so close to a renowned film maker and activist.
The MC Dancers have had rehearsal just about everyday, because our concert is at the end of the month. Everything is coming together and I am excited to perform in Foy Hall because it is such a beautiful facility. Easter break starts after classes on Thursday so we will get back from break and have four more days of rehearsal until the concert! I’m pumped!
This week I am going to be celebrating my birthday! I’m glad that I get to see all of my friends during the week and then my family over Easter break. I’m looking forward to being home, but I am enjoying every minute of being on campus with my friends. Good ol’ MoCo!
