Leadership at Moravian College is defined as the capacity to mobilize oneself and others to work collaboratively to bring about change for the betterment of society. Leadership is everyone’s option and everyone’s responsibility; leadership is action, not position. Leadership requires ethical and socially responsible behavior as well as the complex cognitive and personal abilities fostered in the liberal arts. We believe that all students have the potential to engage in acts of leadership and service for the common good.

Hunger Banquet. This is an event that teaches participants about the problem of hunger in the world. As participants enter, they take a ticket out of a basket. On their ticket is a random assignment – either low income, middle income, or high income. The numbers are roughly proportionate to the distribution of wealth in the world; in other words, there are far more low income than middle, and far more middle than high. Participants will then eat a meal, learn about hunger, and share conversation that illustrates the inequalities in our world. Registration required. Register now!
