Living Healthy, Well-thy, and Wise:
Health. One word, many meanings.
We invite you to attend our next Lifelong Learning event –Living Healthy, Well-thy, and Wise: Perspectives on Health Care in a Changing World – to join in our community discussion.
This interactive and thought-provoking workshop offers a dynamic group of facilitators who will address some of the top issues in the field of health today, including the social impact of emerging medical technology, the dual-challenge of rising costs and inadequate health care coverage, and perspectives on alternative medicine and wellness.
The event will be facilitated by faculty, alumni, and friends of the Moravian community including Dr. Peter von Allmen, professor of economics; Dr. Michelle Schmidt, associate professor of psychology; Dr. Melinda Toney, M.D., Center for Family Health; J.P. Orlando '96, Ed.D., director of medical education development for the Lehigh Valley Health Network, and many more.
Join us on Saturday, March 20, 2010 from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Priscilla Payne Hurd Academic Complex. Registration and pre-event health screening activities begin at 7:45 a.m. There is a $15 fee which includes the cost of breakfast and lunch. Click here to register for this event by March 15.
Eat, Drink, and Celebrate Dance
Legend has it that Socrates learned to dance when he was 70 because he felt he had neglected an essential part of himself. On Friday, March 26, don’t neglect your inner dancer. Come out and celebrate 35 years of dance at the Moravian College Dancers Concert at 7:30 pm in Foy Hall on the Priscilla Payne Hurd Campus in historic Bethlehem.
All members of the College community also are invited to attend a light dinner and reception, sponsored by the Lehigh Valley Alumni Home Club:
