Dana S. Dunn, professor of psychology, attended the Midwinter Executive Committee Meeting of the Society for the Teaching of Psychology, which was held on the campus of Xavier University in Louisiana. Xavier is one of the country's finest Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Dunn is serving as Past President of the Society during 2011.

Krista Steinke, chair and associate professor of art, attended the 2011 annual College Art Association Conference in New York City last week. Two of her videos were featured during the conference as part of the New Media Caucus for the Arts Program.

Mohamed Bugaighis, emeritus professor of mathematics, was mentioned in an editorial ("Hatred is not unique to Tucson") by Paul Carpenter in the Morning Call, February 12, 2011.

Laura Gordon '99 has joined the Chaplain's Office as intern chaplain. Gordon previously worked at the College in Residence Life and Greek Life. In July 2009, she left her position as assistant dean of Student Life to pursue full-time study at Moravian Theological Seminary, where she is completing both a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling. Gordon holds a B.A. in Music from Moravian and an M.A. in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

A February 11, 2011 Morning Call article, "Local Composers Premiere Works Commissioned by ASO for 60th Season," discusses "Maestranza," an original work by Larry Lipkis, Moravian composer-in-residence and professor of music.
