Women’s lacrosse team members are selling Moravian license plate frames for $5. The profits will help take the team to Florida over spring break to play Division I teams and to be coached by professional veterans such as Carrie Reilly-Kirk of Ursinus College, an award-winning player as an undergraduate at Drew University. “For a brand-new varsity team, this is a great chance,” says Coach Kate Miller. To buy a frame, e-mail kmiller@moravian.edu, stop by the Athletics Office, or look around at any basketball game.

Speaking of basketball, you have a chance to pick up some pocket change ($5,000) by making two out of three half-court shots during halftime of the men’s basketball game on February 17 or the women’s game on Wednesday, February 11, or Saturday, February 21.

Here’s what you do. Buy a $1 raffle ticket at 329 Colonial Hall before the game or at the Blue & Grey table by the concession stand at Johnston Hall on game day. The ticket lets you take your try at halftime. Proceeds from the raffle go to support Moravian basketball. If anyone wins the $5,000, we’ll let you and the NBA know. The varsity softball team is holding a Longaberger basket fundraiser this month. For a $10 donation, you will receive a numbered February calendar corresponding to the Pennsylvania Daily Number drawing. If your number is drawn, you’ll receive the prize listed on the calendar for that day.
