The Morning Call, the Express-Times and WFMZ-TV (Ch. 69) all covered Moravian’s memorial
service for the astronauts of the space shuttle Columbia.
Channel 69 featured the service on its 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m.,
and 10:00 p.m. news February 4; the newspapers ran photos
and stories February 5. Participants included chaplains David
Bennett ’88 (M.Div.) and Wayne Killian, as well as students
Kyle Borowski ’06, Warrington; Darline Danda ’03,
Bethlehem; Sarah Dreydoppel ’03, Nazareth; Philip Lythcott,
Guyana, Seminary; and Bindesh Shrestha ’03, Nepal; and
Joanne Dangelmajer, associate professor of French.

WFMZ-TV and the Express-Times also attended the February 5 presentation by nursing students
Allen Smith III ’03, Allentown; Lauren Spencer ’03,
Manahawkin, New Jersey; Jennifer Wagner ’03, Riegelsville;
and Sara Walkiewicz ’03, Bethlehem, who all spent winter
break at a rural clinic in Ahuas, Honduras.
They were accompanied by Marianne
Adam, assistant professor of nursing. Reporter Christine Hintze’s
story, with photos, appeared in the February 9 edition on
the local front.
An interview with the students,
making use of their slide presentation, was aired on Channel
69 during the 11:00 p.m. news February 13—in Spanish,
yet.
