Bean
Counters
Gary Olson, professor
of political science, made the
best guess of the number of coffee
beans in the jar at Reeves Library.
He estimated 2,810 beans; the jar
held 2,758.
Librarian Bonnie
Falla came in second: 2,683. Blair
Zuckman ’07, with 2,860, was
third.
The lowest guess
was 1 and the highest 9,549. Then
there was the creative person who
estimated “a
lot.”
Gary receives a gift
basket from Green Mountain Coffee.
Bonnie and Blair get a coffee mug
and a week of free coffee. “A lot” gets
a raspberry.
The coffeehouse now
needs a name, and Linda is
readying another contest for that
purpose. |
