The annual Science Olympiad for gifted high school students, held March 15, was featured March 21 on Channel 39’s Lehigh Valley Tempo. The event also was covered by the Morning Call, Express-Times, Kutztown Patriot, Channel 69 news, TV-2 news, and RCN. Dick Claussen organized the Olympiad, and Laura Gilbert ’03 spoke for the 75 science and education students who helped run it.

On March 28, Tempo also featured a segment on the master class taught by Metropolitan Opera mezzo Denyce Graves on March 20. Graves worked for a morning and well into the afternoon with music students Evelyn Stewart, CGS, Bethlehem; Rebecca Dishon ’04, Toms River, N.J.; Oscar Cruz Jr.’02, Bethlehem; and Nora Cheatham ’02, Ambler.
