Saturday Accepted Students’ Day will be no more!” said assistant director of admission Lyn Ramsey.

Until this year, accepted students were invited to campus on a Saturday, and the number of no- shows on a weekend was always high.

This time, over the five new-format Blue & Grey Days, 212 accepted students visited campus, about 96 percent of those who notified the Admission Office that they planned to come.

Prospective students had an opportunity to meet with admission and financial aid officers, attend class, and eat in the dining hall.

Lyn said: “These are valuable experiences for these students who are trying to make their college choice by May 1.”

I just wanted to thank all of you for the nice card and letter of thanks you sent the department concerning Blue & Grey Days.

The custodial staff works hard to keep the campus and its buildings looking the best they can. It’s not always easy, but it is more fulfilling when you know that it is appreciated. I merely make sure the work is done. The real heroes are the staff with the dusters and vacuums.

I will take the liberty to speak for all of them when I say thanks for your kind and encouraging words.
