Plan Ahead

Ann K. Stehney, who taught math at Moravian this past academic year, will become Director of Planning and Research this summer, succeeding Vice President John W. McDermott Jr., who is retiring. She will work from the same office in Colonial Hall.

Among her responsibilities are support for the College’s planning committees, including the oversight body for the institutional budget, and its long-range strategic planning process. She also oversees the data collection and analysis that support Moravian’s various accreditations.

Ann has an undergraduate degree from Bryn Mawr College and a doctorate from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, both in mathematics. She has taught at Wellesley College and Rutgers University and done applied mathematics for the Institute for Defense Analyses, Princeton, N.J. She also served as dean of Rutgers’ Douglass College and, most recently, dean of the faculty at Cedar Crest College.
