In the June issue, we listed the offspring of faculty and staff members
who graduated this spring from Moravian College. Here are those who received degrees
from other institutions of higher learning:
• Jennifer S. Episcopio ’94, daughter of Jackie
Giaquinto, administrative assistant for the Psychology Department. M.D., Drexel University.
Jennifer will begin residency in July at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem. She managed
to complete her medical degree around the April 5 birth of her son, Evan Joseph. “She
had just finished her rotations,” says Jackie. “Good planning!”
• Christine Giordano,
daughter of bookstore manager Sandy Giordano. B.A. in psychology from Dickinson College,
where she was a fouryear varsity basketball player and team captain her senior year.
She was awarded the college’s Sportmanship Award and spoke at Baccalaureate.
• Aimee
LaPointe Terosky, daughter of librarian Linda LaPointe. Ed.D., Columbia University.
• Kathryn-Helene
R. Lehman, daughter of art adjunct Mary Ellen Lehman. B.A. with honors in communication
studies and theater, Ursinus College.
• Kerry Meagher, daughter of lacrosse coach
Fran Meagher. B.S. in pre-professional studies, University of Notre Dame.
• Diane
Mitchell, daughter of Marlene Mitchell, cashier. B.A. in biology, Lafayette College.
Diane has accepted a position with Clearwater Marine Aquarium in Florida as an environmental
educator. She interned last summer at the aquarium, a rescue/ rehab facility for
injured or stranded marine animals such as dolphins and sea turtles. Marlene’s son,
Mark, graduated in 2003 from Rochester Institute of Technology and works in New York
as a graphic designer.
• Rachel Elizabeth Paul, stepdaughter of Joan
Lardner Paul,
director of major gifts. M.S. in organizational development and strategic human resources
from the School of Professional Studies in Business and Education, Johns Hopkins
University. As Joan says: “What a mouthful!”
• Benjamin Tannous, son of Anita Tannous,
financial aid, and Dan Tannous, assistant women’s basketball coach. B.A. in secondary
education/mathematics from Elizabethtown College. Their daughter, Jennifer
Tannous ’03,
just received her teacher certification from Moravian.
• Justin Godshall, nephew
of Julie Tostevin, accountant in the Business Office. B.A. in political science,
Millersville University.
• Daniel Unger, son of Connie Unger, assistant professor
of education. B.S. in mechanical engineering from Rose Hulman Institute of Technology,
Terre Haute, Indiana.
• Another Dan, son of Peter von Allmen, professor of economics
and business and chair of that department, graduated from Souderton High School and
will enroll at Skidmore College in the fall. |
