Sign Language and Plaque Flap

In one of the first attempts to restore historical signage to campus, a replica of the marble plaque on the Brethren’s House on South Campus was affixed this summer. It bears an inscription in German:

Vater und Mutter
Lieber und Mann
habt vom Ehr
Junglings Plan

Honor, O young men
of this house,
Father and Mother
and Heavenly spouse.
