Star attraction

The Moravian Star, the newly launched on-line newsletter for parents and alumni, was held up as “the standard of excellence in the field” by the president of Harris Internet Services, creator and server of Moravian’s alumni web site.

The Star, designed by web manager Christie Jacobsen ’00, public relations director Michael Wilson, alumni relation assistant director Elizabeth Martin, and alumni relations director Bertie Knisely, was honored at Harris’s August conference in Florida, attended by 140 of its clients. The president’s endorsement helped clinch the first Harris Internet Service Achievement Award for the newsletter, whose inaugural issue went on line just days before the conference.

“Harris is using the newsletter with prospective and current clients as an example of what others can achieve,” reported alumni relations director Bertie Knisely ’69. “I am grateful for the collaborative effort made by of all our departments.”
