Summer School

A record nine Moravian students taught at the Moravian Academy’s 2005 Summerbridge program, which offers classes and tutorials to middle-school students to prepare them for the demands of high school. At left are Colleen Klaric and Jen Mendelson, both ’06, who returned for a second year to teach science. The others were Renee Sakos (math), Heather MacDonald and Jennifer Biechy (writing), Ali Stoyko ’05, Ashley Heckman, and Bridget Doklan (literature), and Jamie Hillegass (science). “Moravian continues to produce wellprepared, polished teachers,” said Jarred Weaver ’98, who directs the Summerbridge program.
