Is a Puzzlement

It took these ladies more than a year of lunch hours to
complete this 3,000-piece monster jigsaw puzzle. Darker than it appears in this photograph, it’s filled with spikes of purple flowers (bluebonnet? lupin? lavender?) in eye-crossing repetition. And wouldn’t you know? After all that, there’s a piece missing and an extra piece that doesn’t fit.
Front row: Eileen Grasso, Mary Anne Williams, Diane Ferry. Back row: Marlene Mitchell, Debbie Hinkel. Eileen, Diane, and Debbie are support staff to the President and his senior staff; Marlene is the College cashier; Mary Anne works for LVAIC and is married to John Williams of the Development Office. The other four say it was Mary Anne’s tenacity that got them through this project.
