Coffee Hour

On the lower level of Reeves Library is something every campus needs: a coffeehouse! It opened September 20. Getting it off the ground has been the pet project of librarian Linda LaPointe ’93, here beaming upon Katie Custer ’07, Pottstown. Coffee (and tea) cost $1. The coffee is Green Mountain, an organic and fair-trade brand, which means the farmers who grow it get fair value for their crop. Food is not sold, but if you’re in the mood for a sticky bun, say, you may BYOSB. (Bagels and Danish are good with coffee, too.) Though hours may change, the coffeehouse currently is open 8:30 a.m.-noon and 5:00-9:00 p.m. weekdays. It will be staffed by students.
