In the Matter of Benefits

Jon Conrad warns of the effect of “the unabated nationwide rise in health-care costs” on the College’s faculty/staff medical plans. Preliminary figures for 2002 indicate an increase likely of at least 35% for Moravian’s health plans. This is almost twice last year’s hike. A consultant from TIAA/CREF will be on site October 31 and December 4 to hold individual sessions on retirement and pension issues. There’s a maximum of 18 meeting slots per day. Sessions are in the Amrhein and Air Products rooms at the HUB.
