THE RAIN IN SPAIN: In addition to the
French and German lunch tables, hay una mesa española

Anne Dutlinger and Gerard Maynard will be
the guides for a field trip to study art and architecture
of Spain during spring break (March 7-16). Sights range from
Roman aqeducts to Gaudís gloriously ornate buildings
in Barcelona to Frank Gehrys gleaming Guggenheim Museum
in Bilbao. The trip costs $1,900, which includes all flights
and lodging with breakfast. Group size limited to 15. Deadline:
December 15 with $350 deposit. Information: Ext. 1680. An
on-line application will be available through the Art Department
web site after November 18.
DOG DAYS: Ron
Kline of the Counseling Center cautions us not to pet service
dogs of students with disabilities. Distracted from their
primary mission by friendly strangers, the dogs may require
extensive and expensive retraining.
