Arms and the Man

This etching from the series Bauernkrieg (Peasant War) by the German printmaker Käthe Kollwitz is called “Attacking the Vault” and shows the rebels of a 1525 uprising against the nobility surging into an armory to obtain weapons and armor.

It was given to the College by Paul Larson, professor emeritus of music history, and his wife, Janice, and is valued at $4,000.
