The Man from Hope

Rev. David Bennett has been appointed chaplain of Moravian College and Moravian Theological Seminary, starting January 21. He comes from Hope Moravian Church in Hope, Indiana, where he has been pastor since 1998. Before that, he served the congregations of Rio Terrace Moravian Church and Millwoods Community Moravian Church, both in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

The new chaplain holds a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from Eastern Illinois University and a Master of Divinity from Moravian Theological Seminary, Class of 1988. His wife, Connie, is a corporate accountant.

Another Seminary graduate, the Rt. Rev. J. Neil Alexander ’76, was ordained the ninth bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta this past summer.
