Been There, Done That, Took Pix

It’s the time of year for field trips and good things to eat, and sometimes both at the same time. We’ve got a nice assortment of photos, so check out the Moravian Academic Women’s Tea (below), the period desserts made by Hilde Binford for the Music Alliance (Page 2), the Psychology Club’s trip to One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (Page 3), and the accounting students’ conference in San Antonio (Page 4). Not to mention the international photo contest won by “Las Paraguas” (hint: the title is literal and figurative), taken by Stephanie Giebler ’06, Phoenixville, on the beach at Toledo, Spain.

Stephanie’s photo (above) can be
seen in the “Hounds Around the World” exhibit in the HUB. The competition was sponsored by the International Studies Office.

Second prize went to Amy Neff ’05, Cape May Courthouse, N.J., for “Silverio’s Niece,” a portrait of a little girl in Peru; and third to Jonathan Thomas ’05, Port Carbon, for “Jean Paul with Big Ben in Sunglasses.”

Honorable mentions went to Michelle Lala ’05, New Hope, for “Gondola Veneziana”; and to Marcy Burke ’05, Kintnersville, and Margaret Benny ’05, Tamaqua, for a snapshot of J.P. Krupa ’06 just before he died in an accident last summer in San José, Costa Rica.
