'Tis the Season

PETAL PUSHERS: Red, white, and pink poinsettias can be ordered between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. today and Friday, December 3, at the kiosk in the HUB. They’re being sold as a fund-raiser by the Student Nurses Association. The price is $8, and delivery is guaranteed by December 17. Ext. 1607.

TAKE NOTE! College trustee Fred Reinhard has provided 50 tickets for a concert by Jim Ed Brown from the Grand Ole Opry and Donna Parsons, 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 3, at Penn’s Peak. Call Adam Stauffer, director of major gifts, Ext. 1584, or astauffer@moravian.edu. He also has two reserved-parking passes.

IN STEP: See that man in the kiosk at the HUB? That’s Jim Barnes, director of the Marching Band and the Moravian College-Community Orchestra. Jim’s on sabbatical next semester, and the musical merchandise he’s selling will help pay for his timeout. (Just kidding.) He’s trying to clean off the shelves before his successors (Ronald Demkee for the Wind Ensemble, which is the marching band in winter, and Eduardo Azzati for the orchestra) have a yard sale. Jim is selling quite a bit of Pirates of Penzance paraphernalia, in addition to band aids (get it?), 3:00-5:00 p.m. today and Thursday, December 2.
