Gday!
If you hear the strains of Waltzing Matilda around
the School of Nursing these days, thats because four
students from the University of Southern Queensland in Toowoomba
have gone walkabout. Allison Cummings, Tanya Gehrke, Richard
Knoke, and Katherine Morris are here for a month to concentrate
on advanced clinical practice under the guidance of Pamela
Adamshick, assistant professor of nursing. They will return
to Australia after December 18 to graduate. You can meet them
at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, December 6, in the Air Products Room
in the HUB.
On foot: Not that athletic excellence
is so common as to rate a ho-hum, but InCommon normally does
not have space to celebrate every winning game or first-place
finish.
This one, however, is special, for its the culmination
of four years hard work.
The womens cross-country team, led by
its outstanding seniors, finished third at the NCAA Division
III Championships, held November 17 at Augustana College in
Rock Island, Ill.
Heidi Wolfsberger 02, Emily Shertzer
02, and Kim Jaick 02were named All-Americans,
Wolfsberger for the third time, Shertzer for the second, Jaick
for the first.
