G’day! If you hear the strains of “Waltzing Matilda” around the School of Nursing these days, that’s because four students from the University of Southern Queensland in Toowoomba have gone walkabout. Allison Cummings, Tanya Gehrke, Richard Knoke, and Katherine Morris are here for a month to concentrate on advanced clinical practice under the guidance of Pamela Adamshick, assistant professor of nursing. They will return to Australia after December 18 to graduate. You can meet them at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, December 6, in the Air Products Room in the HUB.

On foot: Not that athletic excellence is so common as to rate a ho-hum, but InCommon normally does not have space to celebrate every winning game or first-place finish.
This one, however, is special, for it’s the culmination of four years’ hard work.

The women’s cross-country team, led by its outstanding seniors, finished third at the NCAA Division III Championships, held November 17 at Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill.

Heidi Wolfsberger ’02, Emily Shertzer ’02, and Kim Jaick ’02were named All-Americans, Wolfsberger for the third time, Shertzer for the second, Jaick for the first.
