Payne Gallery
Curated by Moravian assistant professor of art Angela Fraleigh, "Out of Time" showcases a range of artists working with the notion of time in various ways. Whether mining one’s personal past, culling from a public sense of nostalgia, creating a moment in time through social space, or projecting a memory into the future, each artist plays with the notion of the temporal.

Gabriel Alegria's Afro-Peruvian Sextet
7:30 p.m., Foy Hall
Trumpeter/composer Gabriel Alegria combines his own distinctive approach to American Jazz with the music of black costal Peru. Afro-Peruvian instruments such as cajon (box drum) and quijada (jawbone), along with spectacular passages of zapateo criollo tap dancing, enhance the ensemble's rich texture.
