Volunteers and Cheers for Moravian

The Development Office is delighted to host a Volunteer Summit on Saturday, October 3, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to noon in the HUB, followed by an Oktoberfest and Beer Tasting. The workshop is designed for alumni who would like to volunteer as a class agent. Class agents work with Moravian Fund staff members to reach out to other alumni by informing them about College happenings and asking for their financial support. Research has consistently shown that classmate-to-classmate solicitation is the most effective way to secure support.

As a workshop participant and volunteer, you will receive an inside view of your Alma Mater. You'll hear members of the College's senior staff talk about what's new at Moravian; you'll also learn about exciting plans for the future. A panel of students will talk about their Moravian experience through personal stories and insights.

At the end of the workshop, we'll hold our very own "Moravian Oktoberfest & Beer Tasting!" The Oktoberfest lunch will feature traditional German foods and a beer tasting. Ron Ritcher '74 will be our host as we learn about some of the top micro-brews in the country. For those who would like to stay for football, tickets will be available to see the Hounds take on the Gettysburg Bullets.
