HoundFest '09: MC! MC! Hail to Thee!
Members of the Class of 2013 were officially welcomed to the Moravian College family at HoundFest—a festive new tradition booming with Moravian pride that occurs at the end of Freshman Orientation Weekend. New students gathered by Colonial Hall on August 30 and crossed Main Street toward Comenius Hall to symbolize their first steps of the Moravian College journey.
President Thomforde, faculty, staff, alumni, student residence advisors, the United Student Government, cheerleaders, the Moravian College Band, and the Moravian College Women's Chorus gathered in front of Comenius Hall to participate in the event and welcome the freshmen. During this time a class photo was taken, the Moravian College band played various musical arrangements, and the Moravian College Women's Chorus under the direction of Eduardo Azzati, artist-lecturer, led the crowd in the alma mater.
After the ceremony, everyone proceeded to the Priscilla Payne Hurd Academic Complex courtyard where they enjoyed dinner and listened to an alumni jazz trio featuring Mike Lorenz '07, Nick Krolak '08, and Kyle Hummel '08.

Ninth Annual Gus Rampone Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament
On September 18, the Omicron Gamma Omega (OGO) Alumni Association will honor an OGO brother and great man, Gus Rampone, through the ninth annual Gus Rampone Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament. Proceeds will provide financial aid for three to five Moravian College students. The tournament is open to everyone—not just OGO brothers or Moravian alumni—so feel free to invite neighbors, friends, and co-workers to join your team.
